Current Project Spotlight: A Mid-Century Moment in the Making
We’re excited to share that one of our current projects—a dreamy mid-century home—is officially moving into Design Development.
What is Design Development, you ask?
This is Phase 2 in our design process, which means we’ve moved beyond the conceptual phase (where we explore big-picture ideas and direction), and we’re now selecting materials, dialing in finishes, and developing the design into a fully realized plan. This includes 3D models and elevations, detailed selections (down to the hardware), and even getting quotes from trades and vendors. It’s when your vision starts to truly take shape—and it’s one of our favorite parts of the process.
We can’t wait to share more as it unfolds!
Past Project Spotlight: A Master Suite in Placerville
This serene space was part of a full master suite remodel in a beautiful Placerville home.
Molly kept the original beautiful ceilings—one of the room’s most charming features—and freshened up all the colors with layered neutral tones, plush textiles, and subtle contrast.
It’s the kind of space you look forward to returning to at the end of the day.
Design Tip from Molly
Wondering how high to hang a new light fixture over your dining table or kitchen island?
Molly’s rule of thumb: hang the fixture so that the bottom is 36 inches above the top of the table or island. This creates a balanced, well-proportioned look that feels anchored without obstructing the view.
